Support for events to promote scientific communication in the Botanika

The Botanika is to be developed into a botanical environmental education and event centre. The aim is to communicate and explain science in the fields of biology, botany and ecology. The events planned to take place from 2011 are firstly designed to help people acquire basic scientific experience and skills, and secondly to transfer this knowledge to the various fields of commercial application in order to highlight the significance of botany and ecology for social and economic interrelationships. In this context, special attention is given to an intensive networking between school students, undergraduates, scientists and companies, in order to pinpoint career prospects and to give companies direct access to research findings and young talent.
The ERDF funding is to be used to finance the development and realisation of the event concept and the necessary marketing.
