Aerial robotic project go!CART

In future, aerial robots or unmanned flight systems will be deployed in a variety of automatable air-based observation missions, particularly relating to the fields of the environment and security. Under the go!CART project, the forward-looking subject of aerial robotics is being initiated as a cluster of excellence entitled CART (competitive aerial robot technologies) in the State of Bremen, including players from outside Bremen, with a view to developing the necessary technologies and processes for the economic and safe operation of such systems.
The go!CART project is concentrating on aerial robots with a maximum launch weight of 50 kg, since these systems are especially attractive for future users due to their more favourable cost-performance ratios and their short cycles of innovation.
