Gröpelingen neighbourhood education centre

Primary school on the road Fischerhuder

The elementary school on Fischerhuder Strasse is to be expanded to become an all-day school with a neighbourhood education centre. It will also have a canteen. With this in mind, the old building is being modernised and having an extension built on. The neighbourhood education centre will be located on the upper floor of the new building and will be able to use both the canteen and the kitchen outside school hours.

The project is being realised as part of the Federal Government’s Lernen vor Ort (Local Learning) programme, with a Local Education Management project group being funded by the Federal Government.

The building of the neighbourhood education centre is to develop education as a resource for the neighbourhood and to provide life-long learning services for the residents.
